Memories are important. They remind us of who we are, who we were, and all the amazing things we have done. Immortalizing them is something everyone should be looking into doing
1. Store your memories in creativity
People have come up with crazy ideas to keep memories alive. Some have painted their favourite quotes on their walls, while others have virtual memories written on dinner plates (literally) to hang on the wall. you can commission an artist to draw your memories in their drawings. Also, you can see them in art prints and shown in form of art.
2. Showcase them online
The ultimate way to keep your memories alive is to create a website dedicated to them. You can create the website, write down stories, upload photos and videos, share easily with everyone, and do pretty much whatever you want. That’s the freedom that comes with a website. You may want to try Wix to build your own site because it’s easy to use and there are many awesome templates to choose from!
3. Write a story blog!
Write blogs about your memories. Telling stories as a way to remember things is a tradition that is as old as history itself. For generations, the village elders told stories to keep the history of a tribe alive and that’s the only way they could until they invented writing. This is still something that happens today. Spinning a tale every now and then is a good way to keep memories alive.
4. Write them down in a book or a journal
If telling stories isn’t your thing, you could always write them down. I couldn’t tell you how many things in history we only know because some random person decided to write down what was going on. Writing it down and putting it in a book or a journal lets you relive those memories as you write them and then a second time if you ever read them. Plus you can pass the book on to your kids or grandkids and show them all the fun things you did.
5. Post them on Instagram as storybooks or picture book
Social media is one of the de facto ways to store photos. You can upload them into albums to keep them organized, share them with friends and family, and have them there whenever you need them.. also With most of the world’s online population on social media, that’s where everyone is. That means it’s a good place for your memories to be because you can enjoy them with your loved ones.
6. Keep memory quotes
some people have the power to express themselves through words instead of pictures and they could pottery their feelings in quotes.
I have one quote for memory here-
“The most beautiful things are not associated with money; they are memories and moments. If you don’t celebrate those, they can pass you by.”- Alek Wek
7. Make your own vlog videos
We’re not talking about using a camcorder and getting footage of your family, but rather creating a video of things you already have. You can put photos, video clips, and other special moments on a video you make yourself. You can even complete the video with music. You can save the video on your computer or share them with your family. YouTube is also a great option for storing homemade videos and vlogs and this one is my favourite I love to create art vlogs and also record other things I do and places I travel.
“It’s realizing that a great dream is not as good as a great memory. The dream can be had by anyone. The memory – must be made.” - Eric Thomas
